About Coco…

Lise

What’s up? 🙂 So very cool of you to stop by. Everybody loves an audience. Don’t be shy, leave a comment.  I dig thoughtful perspectives and welcome all comments. The world is a beautiful place, if you keep your mind open, so titillate me…

I am Coco Rivers and she is me. Loosely described as a Sexually fluid, African American Femme. Confused? Google it. 🙂 Professional Landscaper. Ardent & Aspiring Writer. Soulful Poet. Rabblerouser. Lover of Erotica and Literature. Wordiac. Type A personality with wildly liberal leanings. Smarter than the average bear (Hey Boo Boo). Champion of the Underdog. Humorist. Spiritualist. Hedonist. Yeah Baby! Avid Music Lover. Wisdom Seeker. Classic movie buff. Fan of Hello Kitty (yes, I said it). Citizen of the world. Horticulturist. Amateur Chef. Believer that the glass is half full and desperately trying to get it to overflow with abundance. Occasionally, crazed, neurotic, moody and proud of it! Given to rantings, musings and occasional flights of fancy. Isn’t everyone?

I love words, in all forms and all languages. Writing is a passion that has governed my life since I was 14 years old. As with all great passions, it leads and you follow. Mastering my wordplay is a lifelong endeavor, a labor of love. Loving the road less travelled, I have taken a circuitous route to find my Voice and so prize my arrival even more. 🙂

Here, I give in to the passion of the moment, whatever that is. I like to challenge the status quo, knock down barriers and leap over walls so fasten your seatbelts and enjoy, it will be a bumpy ride…

  1. Hi there,
We are a group of researchers from the University of Mannheim interested in how social media is used to organize successful protest action and would love to hear from you. We have created an anonymous online survey. It is only 10 questions and takes less than 2 minutes. You can find it here: http://www.mzes.uni-mannheim.de/survey/socmedia/index.php/survey/index/sid/924582/lang/en

A Facebook group with all the details about our project and about our previous work on protest politics can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/socialmediasurveyMZES/
Looking forward to hearing from you.

  2. I love it! What a pleasure it is to meet you, Miss Coco Rivers! Love the name – “Coco” – one of my favorite heart-warming drinks, growing up as a child in Dominica; River(s) – plural of my first daughter’s name. Kindred? Indeed! I just read your bio and the entry on getting your Nook as a BDAY present. I like…very much!

    1. Hi Empress,

Somehow I missed this, hence my belated reply. Coco was my nickname based on my chocolaty complexion lol and I turned it into my pseudonym. Some claimed it reminded them of a pornstar but I told them that their minds were in the gutter as your beautiful comment proves. 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by…

    1. Just a year ago, I was bemoaning the fact that I had no friends who were as passionate about words as I am. And just look what has happened! 🙂 Thank you all, for the kind words and support.

      Write on!

      C.

  3. I love words, too! I’ve discovered that many humans don’t. Thanks again for leaving some of your captivating combinations here to be found by those of us who do.

    1. Thank you, Re, for the compliment. I love your blog.

Not to be judgemental but writing has enabled us to map human history. Not that enough of us are learning from it. Ha! Imagine the world without it?! That gave me a good shudder….

      Write On,

      C.

I love it when you comment...
